Other programs are also designed as part of the course to help students develop life skills and other skills necessary for practitioners. This may fetch them good recognition at an international level. Other programs include “Finishing School” for 4 months at centers in any country recognizing Ayurvedic practitioners. Atreya Ayurvedic Medical College is currently working upon collaborations with recognized institutions and organizations abroad. As of now it already has tie-ups with institutes in Singapore and other European countries. A noted entrepreneur,industrialist and philosopher Sri M.S.Ramaiah had the foresight to envision a huge leap in the demand for qualified professionals in various disciplines. The Gokula Education Foundation (GEF) was founded in 1962 to give brilliant, motivated and committed students a conducive platform to pursue higher education and to realize their dreams and equip themselves to take on the world.

	Anatomy
	Anatomy is one of the fundamental subjects for ensuring strong foundation in medical sciences. It consists of gross anatomy, histology, embryology, genetics and radiology.. The department provides undergraduate as well as post graduate training. All the labs are equipped with modern infrastructure to provide a wholesome learning experience to the students.
	The faculty regularly publishes research papers in various indexed international journals. Faculty of anatomy has organized hands on workshop on basic pelvic anatomy and internal artery ligation, basics of human genetics in collaboration with other departments. The pass percentage of MBBS as well as PG students is high.
	The department conducts various academic competitions including model making, histology drawing and dissections for the undergraduate students. Prizes are distributed for the winners. The department is equipped with computer assisted learning and digitalized museum to enhance the learning experience of students.
	One of the unique offerings from the department is the voluntary body donation program that was started in the year 1998 and has grown well over a period of fifteen years. More than three thousand voluntary donors have registered for the program. Abinandana programme is organized annually for voluntary body donors with special lectures and events to mark the occasion. State of art information management system for voluntary body donation data (software) is being developed in collaboration with MSRIT.
